I am the speech-language pathologist serving PreK through 4th grade students at Louisville Elementary. I started teaching at Louisville as the speech pathologist for the Educational Service Unit's preschool classroom, housed at Louisville. When the change was made for Louisville to run the preschool themselves, I felt very fortunate to continue serving my students and to become an official employee of Louisville Public Schools. It was at that time I also began serving elementary students in addition to my preschool students. This is my 12th year teaching at Louisville (13 1/2 if you count my time here with the ESU). I enjoy my students, the staff and the community and can't imagine working anywhere else! My husband, Terry and I live in Southwest Omaha, only a short scenic drive away from Louisville. Terry has lived in Omaha most of his life, but I grew up in a small community in Eastern Iowa not far from the Quad Cities. I graduated from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State) with my undergraduate degree and then University of Northern Iowa with my master's degree in communication disorders. My first trip to Nebraska was to interview for my initial job out of college. I have been here ever since and again am so glad to be part of the Louisville staff! I hope you will find this website informative and helpful. If you have additional questions about speech-language therapy feel free to contact me.
